The Fine Line Between Guidelines and Creative Capacity

Product photography plays a crucial role in the success of any businesses, and high-quality images are essential for boosting sales. At Gearbox Studios, we understand the importance of creating visually striking product images that capture the attention of potential customers and showcase products in the best light possible.

One aspect of product photography that requires a delicate balance between following guidelines and getting creative is working with multinational corporations. Our experience working with Duravit Germany exemplifies this balance. Despite their strict brand guidelines, Duravit recognized the need to showcase their products in different locations, which led them to allow us to photograph their products outside the EU, making us the first in the MENA region to do so.

When working with Duravit, we collaborated closely with them to come up with a creative concept that satisfied their guidelines while also highlighting the unique features of their products in an authentic way. Communication was key, and we made sure to understand their goals and preferences while providing our expertise and recommendations.

Ultimately, finding the right balance between creative freedom and brand guidelines is crucial in delivering exceptional work that captures the essence of the brand. At Gearbox Studios, we pride ourselves on our ability to find this balance and create product images that are both visually striking and in line with the company's values.

In addition to adhering to brand guidelines, lighting and angles also play a significant role in product photography. Dynamic lighting can highlight the shape, texture, and color of the product and create a mood that resonates with the target audience. Strategic angles can also showcase different aspects of the product, such as the unique features or functionality.

While following guidelines is a must, creativity with lighting and angles is where product photography can truly shine.
